Sofia Vergara, Rashida Jones, Gerard Butler and Woody Harrelson were all glamed up at 5am (local time), in the Beverly Hilton, to read out the list of the 2012 Golden Globe nominees.
The Artist led the Film category with 6 nominations, and Downtown Abbey and Mildred Pierce led the Television category with 5 nominations.
Ryan Gosling is the most nominated actor, receiving nominations for his roles in The Ides of March and Crazy, Stupid Love.
Irish audiences will have more than one reason to tune into the Golden Globes as Brendan Gleeson, Michael Fassbender, composer Brian Byrne and drama series Game of Thrones all received nominations.
Guy Pearce is flying the Australian flag by being nominated for Best Supporting Actor in TV Series, Mini-Series, or Made for TV Movie, for his role in Mildred Pierce.
The Golden Globes are voted for by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
