80s/90s TV is having a renaissance at the moment with shows like Dallas and 90210 coming back and proving to be very popular with a new generation of TV viewers.
Some of the biggest players of 80s/90s TV are hoping to capitalise on this renaissance and have the same success on TV a second time around.
Seinfeld’s Michael Richards (Kramer) is teaming up with Kirstie Ally (Rebecca, Cheers, Ronnie, Veronica’s Closet) and Rhea Perlman (Carla, Cheers) to film a comedic pilot for TV Land.
According to thehollywoodreporter.com, the show, entitled Giant Baby, “revolves around Broadway star Madison Banks (Alley), who reconnects with her long-lost son after the death of his adopted mother. Richards will play Maddie’s limo driver, with Gilles Marini (Brothers & Sisters) also booking a guest-star gig as her chef. Perlman will play her assistant and best friend.”

Ronnie ran a lingerie company and Olive (Kathy Najimy) was the one lumped with having to get her out of situations or calm her down – as seen in this clip.

Giant Baby is only at Pilot stage. Hopefully the comedic talent will have a great script to work with and this will be comissioned for at least one season, as it would be great to have this talent making us laugh again!
