Congratulations to Irish dance group Prodijig. They are this year’s Got to Dance winners! In winning the competition they took home £250,000.
Lead choreographer Alan said, “Prodijig is about 7 people who came together to make a difference, to change Irish dancing”
Change Irish dancing they have! Irish dancing is no longer all about Lord of the Dance – Prodijig are winning over audiences with their interpretation of this classic dance form.
The judges were blown away by their final dance routine in last night’s final.
Adam started off by saying, “I wasn’t sure what your limit could be, I certainly don’t think you’ve even reached it … but you definitely have surpassed yourself again” The level of excitement you enduce in me, watching it, is so thrilling .. it was just fantastic, you guys are amazing!”
Kimberley followed that up with, “You’re on another level. Professionalism at its best. You guys re absolutely phenomenal and so crowd pleasing!”
Ashley was pressed for time but did manage to show his appreciation for the group. “Prodijig, the power is back!… If I shut my eyes and try to picture a quarter of million pounds in dance form that’s exactly what it is!”
Prodijig have posted the following on their facebook page “Waking up as Got to dance champions = best feeling of all time. Thanks for voting everybody!!!!”
They are deserved Champions! Their routine to Beyonce’s Run the World was AMAZING!!!!
I wonder how long it’s going to be until Ellen has them on her show, and their road to world domination begins?
Words cannot do their routine justice, so I am going to let their performance do all the talking.
